Inter are ready to cash in on Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario and have a plan should Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow decide not to enact the buy option attached to his loan deal, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder has satisfied the Russian club whilst on loan with them this season. Mario has made 13 appearances across all competitions for a total of 1134 minutes. In that time, he’s scored one goal and provided four assists. Lokomotiv Moscow wold gladly extend his loan for another 12 months but aren’t willing to redeem him at the figure agreed in the summer – €18 million. They would like a discount but Inter aren’t interested.

Real Betis are also interested in Joao Mario, the report continues and have made contact with the player’s entourage. The club have good financial resources and would, if necessary, have the means to invest the millions requested by Suning. The Nerazzurri are happy to cash in on the player in order to reinvest the funds.
