Inter striker Romelu Lukaku will hope to overcome Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo tonight in the Derby d’Italia and make the difference for his side, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the 26-year-old Belgian striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has scored 17 goals so far this season for Inter in the league, 35% of the Milanese club’s total goals scored. He will be competing against 35-year-old Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored 21 goals in 21 league appearances for the Bianconeri so far this season, 44% of Juventus’ goals.
Only Lazio striker Ciro Immobile has a higher percentage than the duo, the report continues. Their teammates will both help to make the difference tonight, with Argentine forward Paulo Dybala hoping to assist Ronaldo more than Lautaro Martinez can assist Lukaku. There will also be a duel in midfield between Juventus provider Miralem Pjanic and Inter regista Marcelo Brozovic.
