Samir Handanovic was the best of a bad bunch as Inter fell 2-0 in the Derby D’Italia to arch rivals Juventus last night according to the player ratings published in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 35-year-old Slovenian made his long awaited return to action following a hand injury at the Allianz Stadium and made some big saves and was also good with his feet too, he has been given a rating of seven out of 10.

Marcelo Brozovic was Inter’s second best performer with him receiving a 6.5 rating whilst Stefan de Vrij and Antonio Candreva are tied for third best performance with ratings of six.

Milan Skriniar, Alessandro Bastoni, Matias Vecino, Nicolo Barella, Ashley Young and Roberto Gagliardini were all given ratings of 5.5 for their exploits.

The worst performances on the night, in the eyes of the Milan based newspaper, came from Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Christian Eriksen, all three of whom were given half marks.
