Tahith Chong has put an end to recent speculation by putting pen to paper on a contract extension with Manchester United, the Premier League club have announced through all the usual platforms.

The youngster’s deal with the club was set to expire at the end of this season and this led to intense speculation about where his future could lie.

Inter, Juventus and Barcelona all drew links to him and many reports even suggested Chong had reached an agreement over a five year contract with Inter.

The 20-year-old has however agreed to a two year contract extension with the Old Trafford outfit which means he is now under contract with them until the end of June 2022. As part of the deal, there is an extension option for a further season.

Chong, who joined United in the Summer of 2018 from Dutch giants Feyenoord, has made 10 appearances at first team level this season in which he has contributed a single assist.
