Inter celebrated International Women’s Day yesterday with a post on their official Instagram page. The day is celebrated on the 8th March every year, with the United Nations officially celebrating the day starting from 1977.
The day celebrates the work and achievements of women, although the day isn’t observed worldwide. The day also often attracts protests, although in Italy it was overshadowed by the growing Coronavirus emergency.
Inter posted a photo of some of their women’s squad alongside the caption: “From the Nerazzurre women to all women around the world: happy International Women’s Day.”
