Two losses to two direct rivals for the Scudetto this late in the season means that Inter are for all intents and purposes out of the race to win the Serie A.

The manner of the collapse in the second half at an empty Allianz stadium showed Inter that they are on the right track in terms of talent but the mental fortitude is still lacking.

Samir Handanovic – 7: Great saves especially at the start. Not just that but he did well in moving the ball with his feet as well. Couldn’t do much on both the goals. Tough.

Milan Skriniar – 6: Went hard and all in on Cristiano Ronaldo, but just stayed within the limits in the first half. Tried his best but Juve were way above par in the second half.

Stefan de Vrij – 6: Barely noticeable until the first goal. Moved the ball well and always in the right position. The only time he was fractionally away, it cost Inter.

Alessandro Bastoni – 5: Always plays like a mature defender. However, he seemed a little slower especially on set pieces and in crucial moments. Learning curve.

Antonio Candreva – 5.5: As always Candreva does the basics right. The shots in the first half looked decent. Then predictably ran out of steam in the second half. Usual.

Matias Vecino – 5.5: Showed his defensive nous of the game and always rushed back to help Skriniar. Then he switched off, lost Matuidi and Juve opened the floodgates.

Marcelo Brozovic – 6: Conductor is the role he plays. Kept the ball moving, made very few mistakes and the pressing worked. Lost the plot a bit after Inter conceded.

Nicolo Barella – 6.5: Did the dirty work for Conte. Ensured the Cuadrado/Costa couldn’t get past or cut back. No surprise that his sub opened up the gates.

Ashley Young – 6: The first half from Young was world class. Didn’t make a single wrong decision and the 50-50’s always fell to him. Dybala’s goal ruined the night.

Romelu Lukaku – 5: Romelu was missing for large parts of the game. Always double marked and his team couldn’t play him in space or find him. His worst game for Inter.

Lautaro Martinez – 5: Much better game from Lautaro. Always involved in the play without any reward. After Juve scored he looked more and more disinterested.

Christian Eriksen – 5: Not a great game off the bench and more or less justified Conte not starting him over Vecino. Maybe the role is difficult but the intensity is missing.

Roberto Gagliardini – 5.5: The midfield was a highway after Ramsey scored as Brozo lost the plot and Barella was on the bench. Conte threw him on just to keep it respectable.

Alexis Sanchez – 5.5: Tried hard in his few minutes and gave the usual running. Too bad the opponents had a hold of the game and there was no impact that could be made.

Antonio Conte – 4.5: The lineup is understandable, but the fact that Inter have collapsed in big games is now a huge worry for Conte. Barella sub was disastrous.

Marco Guida – 6.5: Kept control of the game well and let a few yellow cards go here and there for both sides. Another heavy challenge would have brought out the reds.

Inter – 4.5: When you want to be champions or compete for the title, Inter cannot have 2 shots on target in a head to head game with the reigning champions. Timidness needs to go.
