Inter have an agreement in place with Tahith Chong over a free transfer but he is yet to put pen to paper on the contract according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano.

As per various reports elsewhere in the media, Inter have tabled the Dutch youth national team attacker a five year contract starting this Summer.

Romano claims that 20-year-old Chong has not signed a new deal due to the fact Inter want to loan him out for the first season and he is currently undecided about this idea.

He goes on to report that Manchester United have told Chong that they will match Inter’s offer of a five year contract if he knocks them back.

Chong, who has been with United since the Summer of 2018 and is out of contract at the end of this campaign, has made 10 appearances across all competitions at first team level this season in which he has contributed a single assist.
