Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has sanctioned club management to go in for Inter defender Milan Skriniar this Summer according to a report from British news outlet The Daily Express.

As per the report, the reigning Premier League champions are willing to splash a sum of £80 million (approximately €90 million) on the Slovakian centre back, who has cemented himself as one of the best young defenders on the planet in the past few years.

Skriniar is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season and has also drawn links to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United in the past.

This season Skriniar has made 32 appearances across all competitions for Inter during which time he has provided a single assist and helped the team keep nine clean sheets.

The report goes on to state that Leicester City’s Caglar Soyuncu and Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake are also believed to be on the Citizens radar as they look to bolster their defensive department.
