Inter Manager Conte Ready To Put Everything Into Europa League

Inter manager Antonio Conte is ready to go all in for the Europa League as a result of recent events according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Recent losses to Lazio and Juventus in the league coupled with the fact there is a lot of uncertainty over whether Serie A will even finish are behind Conte’s decision to put everything into the Europa League.

Conte will therefore pick the best side available to him for tomorrow night’s last 16 first leg match against Getafe, if the match even goes ahead.

Both the Italian and Spanish PFA’s have recently called for the game to not go ahead amid the ongoing Coronavirus crisis both countries are facing and Getafe have also said they will not travel if the situation does not change.

The report goes on to state that Conte could show faith in Christian Eriksen for the match and it remains to be seen if in doing so he will continue to experiment tactically to allow the Danish international to play in his preferred attacking midfield role.

Alexis Sanchez is likely to be benched for the match despite starting and finishing in Inter’s two Europa League games to date this season and Diego Godin or Danilo D’Ambrosio could come in in place of Alessandro Bastoni.
