Legendary Inter centre back Marco Materazzi has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to wish former Inter teammate Samuel Eto’o a happy 39th birthday.
Materazzi and Eto’o spent two years as teammates at the Nerazzurri between 2009 and 2011 when Materazzi was released and subsequently retired and Eto’o was sold to Anzhi Makhachkala, who had recently been taken over and had money to spend.
The duo played a key part in Inter becoming the only team in Italian football history to win a treble including the Champions League in the 2009/10 season.
“Happy birthday brother, without you I would never have won,” he posted.
