European football’s governing body UEFA currently have two ideas on the table when it comes to how they may deal with the ongoing Coronavirus crisis a number of their member nations are dealing with according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Coronavirus has wreaked havoc on football across the continent in recent weeks with a load of games postponed and a number of games in highly affected areas that have not been postponed being played behind closed doors.

All the postponements have cast serious doubts over whether some leagues will even manage to finish their seasons with Italy’s Serie A among leagues facing this possibility.

The first idea UEFA have is to complete both the Champions League and Europa League as planned but Inter’s upcoming Europa League opponents Getafe could complicate matters with them adamant that they will not travel to Milan due to the current situation.

The other idea UEFA have is to give prevalence to the league’s to allow them to finish their seasons. Leagues would run into June and as a result the European Championship’s would be postponed until 2021.

UEFA are understood to not want to think too much about either of the above scenarios but given the situation, drastic action is likely to be required.
