Inter have maintained their interest in Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri club went in for the experienced French forward in the recent January transfer window as they looked to bolster their attack.

Reports at the time suggested Inter had agreed terms both with Chelsea and the player himself but the move never transpired in the end as Inter opted not to add another striker to their ranks.

Despite this, Inter are still interested in the former Arsenal man, who will be a free agent come the end of the season. Inter are however not alone in courting him though with the Milan based newspaper stating that Lazio and a number of Premier League clubs are also keen on him.

The 33-year-old has found playing time particularly hard to come by this season with him having made just 13 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored three goals.
