Serie A could start back up again in May according to a report from the online edition of Milan based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The league is currently on hold until at least April 3 due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and all other sporting events in the country have also been put on hold as well.

The season could start back up again in early May and end just before June 30, the date many players contracts will expire with clubs.

In order for this to be able to happen though, European football’s governing body UEFA will have to agree to postpone this Summer’s European Championship’s which are due to start in the middle of June.

This report goes on to state what many other reports have already done which is that it is looking likely that UEFA will postpone the tournament at the beginning of next week, as well as both the Champions League and Europa League.
