The Lega Serie A council are to meet later on today to discuss a way forward for the league amid the ongoing Coronavirus crisis according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

There are still 124 Serie A games to be played with most sides having to play 12 games and some, including Inter, having to play 13 games.

It is obviously far from easy trying to work out a solution for how to fit all of these games but would be made far easier if European football’s governing body UEFA were to postpone this Summer’s European Championship’s.

The Lega Serie A are determined to finish the season and crown a champion and want to play all of the games but there are other possible solutions.

The idea of playoffs is much more preferred to the idea of just leaving the title unassigned or just leaving the league as it is.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that it could be the case that contracts set to expire on June 30 could be allowed to carry on for a little longer if the season cannot be completed by that date.
