Lega Serie A have issued a press release which details their intentions to see out the remainder of the 2019/20 season in the coming months as reported by Italian news agency ANSA.

Serie A and all sporting events in Italy for that matter are on hold until at least April 3 due to the Italian government decree that is in place in a bid to try and contain the Coronavirus outbreak the country has been facing for a number of weeks now.

There has been a lot of uncertainty in the media about whether the season would finish at all given the extraordinary circumstances but Lega Serie A bosses have told the 20 participating clubs that the season will resume when the conditions allow it to and it will be finished in the next few months.

The press release goes on to detail that Lega Serie A have set up working groups to try and deal with the Coronavirus emergency that the league is facing at the moment.
