Photo – Inter Defender Bastoni: “We Must Remain United”

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to call for unification amid the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.

There has now been in excess of 130,000 confirmed cases of the virus worldwide and Italy have little over 10% of those cases. Italy has around 15,000 confirmed cases, which makes Italy the second most affected country on the planet.

This season the 20-year-old, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 17 appearances across all competitions. In 1330 minutes on the park, he has scored one goal.

“In a time of difficulty like this, we must remain united. With the help and common sense of everyone, we will be able to return to our daily lives and start off stronger than before. A special thought goes to those who are directly struggling with the disease.”
