Inter defender Danilo D’Ambrosio has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to call for everyone to stick together amid the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.

There are in excess of 130,000 cases worldwide, around 15,000 of which are in Italy with numbers only expected to rise and rise in the coming weeks.

This season the 31-year-old, who joined Inter in January 2014 from Torino, has made 18 appearances across all competitions. In 1154 minutes on the field, the Italian national team player has contributed a single goal and helped Inter keep seven clean sheets.

“Let’s stay together (but far apart) and let’s get strong! Now we are all on the same front to fight an invisible enemy. It will take an effort from all of us to get back to normal, even stronger than before. There needs to be sacrifice, collaboration and love and there will be intense days where we can learn and improve ourselves. A special thought for the heroes who are fighting the disease. Together we will make it.”
