Alexis Sanchez’s chances of a permanent move to Inter have taken a real hit because of the suspension of Serie A according to a report in today’s print edition of Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The 31-year-old Chilean international is currently on loan at the Nerazzurri club from Premier League club Manchester United but he is facing an uncertain future.

Sanchez has not exactly set the world alight during his time with the club and he has certainly not been helped by the fact he has spent a large chunk of the season out on the sidelines with an ankle injury which required specialist surgery.

It remains to be seen what will happen with the remainder of the season and it could well be the case that Sanchez may not get to pull on the Inter shirt again if the decision is taken to just cancel the rest of the season.

Moreover, Sanchez’s €11 million annual pay packet is sure to be a stumbling block in any negotiations that might take place and it has been widely reported that he would have to agree to a significant pay cut in order to stand any chance of a sticking around at Inter.
