Valentino Lazaro wishes to return to Inter at the end of the season according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Austrian defender is currently out on loan at Premier League side Newcastle United until the end of the season and whilst the Magpies have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis for €23.5 million, he has already made his mind up that he wants to return to the Nerazzurri.

The 23-year-old wishes to show Antonio Conte what he is capable of and that he is deserving of a chance at Inter, who he is under contract with until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Lazaro joined Inter last Summer in a circa €20 million deal from Hertha Berlin but an injury early on in pre-season left him playing catch-up with his teammates and upon his recovery he struggled to get into the team on a regular basis.

He has made 11 appearances across all competitions for Inter, in which he has assisted two goals.
