Spanish giants Barcelona and Premier League title holders Manchester City are both interested in Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, but the Nerazzurri have no intention of selling the player, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 20-year-old Italian defender has exploded onto the scene thanks to the guidance of coach Antonio Conte, who wanted to keep the young defender last summer despite the many clubs interested in him. Since then, Bastoni has made 17 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1330 minutes. In that time, he’s made 14 starts, often displacing veteran defender Diego Godin in the starting eleven.

Both the Blaugrana and the Citizens are interested in Bastoni, the report continues. Inter president Steven Zhang has no intention of giving him up though, and the Italian defender is expected to receive a contract renewal from the Milanese club with increased wages and an extension to 2024.
