Inter Midfielder Christian Eriksen Is Going Through A Particularly Tough Time, Both On & Off The Pitch

Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen is going through a particularly time tough since arriving in Italy in January, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 28-year-old Danish midfielder joined the Nerazzurri from Tottenham in the January transfer window, for around €20 million. The player was more than a purchase, instead being a signal to other teams that the Milanese club are looking to rejoin the clubs at the top. Since then, Eriksen has played 348 minutes for Inter, less than four full games, with coach Antonio Conte giving him incredibly limited minutes in two big games against Lazio and Juventus.

Off the pitch, Eriksen has been forced to move out of his hotel in Milan due to the coronavirus emergency, now being in quarantine in the club’s training ground in Appiano Gentile, the report adds. His family are going through similar difficulties in Denmark.
