A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has detailed Inter’s plan for their defense in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report details how Stefan De Vrij, Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni are all certainties, all three being trusted by coach Antonio Conte. Danilo D’Ambrosio will continue to play both a central defender role as well as a wing back. The Nerazzurri will evaluate both veteran defender Diego Godin and the rarely used Andrea Ranocchia in the summer, to decide if they want to keep them or not.

Finally, Inter are expected to purchase at least one defender to complete the department, the report continues. The favourite remains 20-year-old Albanian Marash Kumbulla, who is currently impressing with Hellas Verona. Alternatives include 28-year-old Torino defender Armando Izzo, who has experience in a three-man defense, and Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen, whose contract expires with the North London club at the end of this season.
