Former Belgium coach Marc Wilmots replied to Inter striker Romelu Lukaku’s brother, Jordan, who criticized him for his poor game plan in an interview with international broadcaster Eleven Sports earlier today.

“What makes me angry is that he questions the work of a whole staff, he discredits all those people. When I think about Jordan, the only regret I have is that I didn’t kick him out of the national team when he was late for the tenth time during the last European Championship. And in that circumstance, he was also told off by his brother.”

Jordan Lukaku, who is the younger brother of Romelu, is contracted to Lazio until 2022. He joined the Biancocelesti in 2016, but has struggled to make a strong impact in Rome. Since his arrival, Lukaku has made 74 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing seven assists. This season, Lukaku has made two appearances across all competitions, for a total of 70 minutes.

His brother Romelu has settled well in Italy since his arrival from Manchester United last summer. The 26-year-old Belgian has made 35 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 2904 minutes. In that time, he’s scored 23 goals and provided five assists. He has formed a formidable attacking partnership with Lautaro Martinez.
