Inter are prepared to invest in Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez is sold in the summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the English newspaper the Express.

The report details how Barcelona’s top two targets in the upcoming summer transfer window are the 22-year-old Inter striker and Brazilian star Neymar. The Milanese club are the only team following Aubameyang at the moment and would be happy to purchase the 30-year-old Gabonese striker if Lautaro was sold to Barcelona.

Aubameyang’s contract expires with Arsenal in June of 2021, the report details, and talks of a renewal have stalled. The player’s £300 thousand a week wage bill and a 30% increase for the final season put a strain on the North London club’s finances, suggesting that they may offer a discount on the player.

Aubameyang has scored 20 goals and provided one assist in 32 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
