There is a chance that Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic could leave in the summer, as his agents have informed the Nerazzurri’s management that there could be offers from the Premier League that match his release clause, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInter1908 today.
The report details how the 27-year-old Croatian midfielder has a €60 million release clause only valid for foreign countries. The clause was increased by €10 million last year, when Brozovic signed a contract renewal with the Nerazzurri worth around €3.5 million per season until June 2022. Brozovic’s entourage has informed the club that some Premier League sides are ready to match that release clause in order to sign him this summer.
Inter haven’t considered selling the player, the report continues, and are ready to further increase his wages slightly in order to convince him to stay. The club will only decide about selling him once offers have officially arrived, obviously listening to what the player wants, a player who hasn’t expressed an interest in leaving.
