Crescenzo Cecere, the agent of Inter owned goalkeeper Ionut Andrei Radu, has discussed what happened to his client at Genoa.

Radu was due to spend the whole of this season on loan at Genoa but that loan was cut six months short after Genoa opted to bring in another goalkeeper in Mattia Perin which meant Radu’s playing time was going to be significantly reduced.

“In football, choices are made. Genoa made their decision and we have made ours. It’s in the past,” he remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Cecere then went on to discuss his client’s January transfer window loan move to Parma and what the immediate future holds for the young shot-stopper.

“Sepe was hurt at the end of the transfer market and Parma’s sporting director Faggiano called us. We didn’t hesitate about going to Parma.

“Without Sepe’s injury, perhaps he would have returned to Inter and played games but it’s in the past, Radu is working well and in June he will return to Inter.”

The Romanian national team goalkeeper is being widely tipped in the media to become current Inter number one and club captain Samir Handanovic’s deputy starting from next season.

This season Radu has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date. In 1740 minutes on the park, he has conceded 37 goals and kept two clean sheets.
