Crescenzo Cecere, the agent of Inter owned goalkeeper Ionut Andrei Radu has confirmed that his future has not been discussed yet but the aim is for him to stay at Inter.

“We haven’t talked about anything yet, but the plan is that Radu will stay at Inter in the next season. All the rumours that have come out, including those linking him to Udinese, are things that do not concern us,” he remarked in an interview with FCInter1908.it.

He then went on to speak about his client’s exit from Genoa.

“Genoa? Radu is working, working for himself, there is no problem. The world of football is like this and these are things that can happen in this world.”

Next Cecere went on to explain his client’s subsequent move to fellow Serie A side Parma and if there is any regret about going to Parma given there is a strong chance he would have played due to Samir Handanovic picking up an injury.

“In January there was the possibility of his return to Inter, then this opportunity did not materialise. Then there was the opportunity to go Parma to go play and we took it.

“Handanovic’s injury? Radu is a goalkeeper who had played and could have been comfortable for Inter but things went how they did and we cannot think in hindsight.”

In conclusion Cecere spoke on the possibility of the Romanian national team shot-stopper becoming the heir to Handanovic.

“Will he be the back-up to Handanovic? The plan is that he will return to Inter. He has signed a 5-year contract with Inter, an important contract that few teams can offer in Italy and therefore will stay with Inter. Is the heir to Samir? That may be the case, he deserves it if that is the case.”

The 22-year-old, who is under contract with Inter until the Summer of 2024, has made 19 appearances across all competitions this season with all of them coming whilst with Genoa. In 1740 minutes on the field, he has conceded 37 goals and kept two clean sheets.
