With it looking increasingly likely that this Summer’s European Championship’s will be postponed, European football’s governing body UEFA are working out how they can proceed with this season’s Champions League according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

After the last 16 and quarter finals are completed, all of the remaining games could take place over four or maybe five days at the same venue provided that the current venue for this year’s final, the Atatürk Olympic Stadium, is available.

Rather than a final four style end to the tournament, the report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that it could become a final eight and all games would be played at the same venue over a couple of weeks instead.

It is as yet unclear what UEFA’s intentions are for the rest of the Europa League, which Inter are currently in the last 16 of, though.
