Inter striker Mauro Icardi is refusing to give up on the idea of a return to Italy to carry on his career after the end of this current season according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
The Argentine striker is currently out on loan at Paris Saint Germain and they have an option to sign him permanently for €70 million but Icardi ultimately has the final say due to a clause which allows him to veto a permanent switch to the French capital club.
The report explains that the chances of him playing for Inter again are slim to none and if he is serious about wanting to keep playing in Italy there is only one team capable of paying his wages and Inter’s asking price for him and that is the Nerazzurri’s arch rivals Juventus.
The report goes on to state that Real Madrid are also keen on signing the recently turned 27-year-old who has netted 20 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions for PSG during his loan spell.
