Samir Handanovic will sign a contract extension with Inter imminently according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper’s current deal with the club is due to expire at the end of next season and this extension is expected to extend his contract with the club by at least a further season.

With Handanovic’s future looking like it is sorted out, the Nerazzurri club now need to work out who will be his deputy next season, the report goes on to add.

Inter have drawn links to several names in recent weeks including Udinese’s Juan Musso, who is understood to be valued by the Bianconeri club at €30 million.

Ionut Andrei Radu could be the chosen one however due to the fact he is already on the club’s books and therefore Inter would not need to fork out any money for a back-up goalkeeper.

The future of current back-up goalkeeper Daniele Padelli is currently unclear with the veteran’s contract up at the end of the season
