Inter have come to an agreement with club captain Samir Handanovic over a one year contract extension according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 35-year-old, who is Inter’s first choice goalkeeper, is currently under contract until the end of next season and the extension, which should be made official in the coming months, will put him under contract with the club until the end of June 2022.

The Milan based newspaper go on to state that Inter are also looking toward the future and are looking for a player capable of taking over from Handanovic in the coming years.

Inter very much like Udinese shot-stopper Juan Musso, who is valued by the Bianconeri club at €30 million. Inter could sign him this Summer and make him Handanovic’s deputy immediately or they could sign him and loan him back to Udinese. If they loan him back, Ionut Andrei Radu will serve as Handanovic’s back-up.
