Inter have taken to social media platform Instagram to post a video of club captain Samir Handanovic urging people to follow government advice during the current Coronavirus crisis.
Italy is the second worst affected nation worldwide by the virus and the country has been placed in lock down by the government as they attempt to contain it and stop it from spreading any further.
35-year-old Handanovic, who has been with the club since a Summer 2012 move from fellow Serie A side Udinese, has also encouraged people to donate to the club’s fundraising campaign.
“Hello everyone. It is a peculiar moment and we are aware of that. Let’s enjoy spending time with our families as much as we can by staying home and I urge you to join our fundraising campaign for the Sacco hospital. Even a small donation goes a long way. Thanks to everyone and please stay home,” he said.
