Spanish newspaper Sport have taken to social media platform Twitter to post a video of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez pleading with people to stay at home amidst the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.
The 22-year-old is currently stuck in quarantine in Italy which is in lock down as the Italian government try their utmost to contain the virus and stop it from spreading any further.
Lautaro, who has drawn strong links to La Liga club Barcelona in recent weeks and months said: “Hi everyone, I make this video to ask you, please, to be aware of what is happening in the world.
“What we are experiencing in Italy is a very complicated situation and I want to send a message to everyone to ask you to please stay home, not go out and try to avoid contact with many people.
“Try to take care of yourself, to wash your hands constantly and to be in solidarity with the rest of the people and the elderly because the situation is really complicated. We must try to stay at home as long as possible to try and keep the virus from spreading.
“I want to thank all the doctors, nurses and health workers around the world for the incredible work they have been doing in the past few weeks. I wish for everyone not to lose heart and to be strong, hoping that everyone is in solidarity with one another.”
