Inter have probed the ground with Barcelona with regard to taking Philipe Coutinho according to a report from Spanish news outlet Sport.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder is currently out on loan at Bundesliga side Bayern Munich who have an option to buy him on a permanent basis at the end of the season for €110 million but the German club have already told Barcelona that they have no intention of exercising this option.

The report goes on to state that Barcelona are willing to loan the former Liverpool player out again next season with a lower option to buy in a bid to try and entice clubs to take him off their books.

The 27-year-old has scored nine goals and provided eight assists in 32 appearances across all competitions to date during his loan at Bayern Munich.

Should Inter agree a deal with Barcelona for him, it would not be the first time he suited up for the Nerazzurri. Inter brought him to Europe when he was 16 years old and he spent five years with the club between 2008 and 2013 during which time he made 47 appearances across all competitions.
