Inter will prioritise the Europa League when the season resumes according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Leagues across Europe are currently on hold due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and it would appear that during this time Inter have thought about what their goals can be between when the season starts up again and when it ends.

Having fallen down to third in the league, eight points off of second and nine off of top spot, albeit with a game in hand, Inter manager Antonio Conte is going to shift the team’s focus toward winning the Europa League.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to state that former Italian national team boss Conte will look to rely upon the experience of four players in particular in the Europa League.

Diego Godin is a two time winner of the competition and has also reached two Champions League finals meaning he has no shortage of experience in knowing how to navigate through a tournament and win it too.

Ashley Young won the Europa League during his days with Manchester United and his experience will be relied upon too. Although neither have won the competition, Conte will also rely on Christian Eriksen and Alexis Sanchez, two players who have a vast amount of experience at the top level.
