Roma have joined the race to sign Fiorentina central midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
Castrovilli has been one of the revelations of the Serie A this season and as a result a number of clubs have seemingly sparked an interest in signing him, including Inter.
Inter and other interested clubs now face competition from Roma for the 23-year-old Italian national team player, who has a contract with La Viola until the end of the 2022/23 season.
Roma, like the other clubs, will find it far from easy to sign Castrovilli with Fiorentina seemingly adamant that he will be going nowhere as evidenced by the fact they have already knocked back a €40 million offer from Napoli for him.
This season Castrovilli has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2200 minutes on the park, he has scored three goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
