Inter owned forward Ivan Perisic is pushing to stay with German side Bayern Munich permanently, after joining the club on loan last summer, according to a report from German broadcaster Sport1 earlier today.
The report details how the 31-year-old Croatian forward has impressed whilst on loan with the Bundesliga giants so far this season, despite suffering from a niggling ankle injury. The 2018 World Cup finalist has made 22 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1200 minutes. In that time, he’s scored five goals and provided eight assists.
In the last few weeks, it has been reported that Bayern do want to redeem the player but want a discount on the figure agreed last summer, the report continues. The former Wolfsburg forward intends to stay in Bavaria and feels at home, both on and off the pitch. The original agreed figure was around €20 million but Bayern would to pay a little less.
