A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted two strikers Inter could potentially buy this summer should they sell Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

The report details how Spanish giants Barcelona are big fans of the 22-year-old Argentine striker, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023. Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2437 minutes. In that time, he’s scored 16 goals and provided four assists, justifying the Blaugrana’s interest in him.

The first player that Inter could sign to replace Lautaro is 30-year-old Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The 30-year-old Gabonese striker’s contract expires with the Gunners at the end of next season and currently a renewal doesn’t look close. He has scored 20 goals in 32 games across all competitions this season.

The other player the Nerazzurri may look to is Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud, the report continues. The 33-year-old Frenchman’s contract expires with the Blues at the end of this season and could be signed on a free transfer. He was close to a move to Inter in the January transfer window, but the deal failed to materialise in time.
