Juventus’ squad has been split in two, with some players breaking quarantine to return home to their native countries and others staying in Turin, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how Brazilian winger Douglas Costa is the latest of the Bianconeri players to return home to their native countries, in order to spend time with their families during the Coronavirus emergency. Other players who have left Turin include Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain, Bosnian midfielder Miralem Pjanic and German midfielder Sami Khedira.

However, the problem is that all of these players should have still be in quarantine in Turin, the report continues. Juventus teammate Daniele Rugani tested positive for the virus 11 days ago, and considering that all of the squad have been in close contact with the Italian defender, should have remained in a 14-day quarantine. Other Juventus players have since tested positive, such as Argentine forward Paulo Dybala and French midfielder Blaise Matuidi.
