Inter midfielder Matias Vecino highlighted Inter’s fundraising campaign for the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences at the Luigi Sacco Hospital in Milan in a post on Twitter yesterday.

The 28-year-old Uruguayan, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2022, has made 23 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1676 minutes. In that time, he has scored three goals and provided one assist, slowly gaining the trust of coach Antonio Conte as the injury list lengthened.

Vecino discusses the emergency in the video, saying: “Hi, everybody, I’m Matias Vecino. Unfortunately, we are living a very delicate and difficult moment, we all have to stay at home. Obviously, I’m doing it too, I’m convinced that everything will be fine. If you want to make your donation, go to Inter’s official Facebook page. Sending you a big hug, Forza Italia.”
