Former Rome player Bojan Krkic has tipped former teammate and current Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen to be a success at the Nerazzurri despite his slow start to life at the club.

Eriksen joined Inter in the recent January transfer window from Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur in a circa €20 million deal but has struggled to adapt to his new surroundings.

Eriksen has particularly struggled to fit into Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system given he is naturally an attacking midfielder and in eight appearances across all competitions for the club, he has contributed a single goal and a single assist.

Bojan, who is currently on the books of MLS franchise Montreal Impact and was a teammate of Eriksen’s at Ajax, has shared his belief that given time, Danish national team player Eriksen will come good for Inter.

“I arrived at Ajax in 2013 and shortly thereafter he moved on to Tottenham. In the Premier League, when I was at Stoke City, I played against him several times,” he started in an interview which appeared in the print edition of Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport today.

“We are talking about someone who has pure talent but he still has to fit in and it is not easy to do that in Italy. Give him a little time and I am convinced that he will do very well.”
