Inter owned wing back Dalbert has shared his desire to remain with Fiorentina past the end of this season in an interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport today.

The Brazilian joined La Viola on a season long loan from Inter this past Summer and although there is no option to buy, Dalbert has made his feelings known about what he wants to happen.

He first started talking about Coronavirus and what Italian football might be like once the situation is over.

“What will football be like after the Coronavirus? It will be completely different because these situations make you understand that there are very important priorities and values in life,” the 26-year-old began the interview.

He then went on to discuss how he feels he has played this season and what he has made of Fiorentina as a club.

“I think it was a decent season. I feel everyone’s confidence in me, it makes me do my best.

“In Florence I’m fine, I like the city and the club has ambitious goals. The president has already made great investments.”

Dalbert proceeded to praise teammates Federico Chiesa and Gaetano Castrovilli, both of whom have been strongly linked to Inter recently.

“They are exceptional. They bring an impressive intensity in training and in the game they are delightful. It is a pleasure to have them on the team. They are an added value.”

The former Nice defender then went on to talk about Inter’s Scudetto chances.

“Inter are a great team, they have top level players and an excellent manager, but it won’t be easy to win the scudetto.

“I like Lukaku and Lautaro. They are a well-matched pair. I cannot help but mention Handanovic who, in addition to being an exceptional goalkeeper, is a fantastic person. He helped me in difficult times.”

He concluded by discussing his dreams: “It is already a dream come true for me to be a footballer. I hope to continue at Fiorentina and, why not, also get in the Brazilian national team.”
