European football’s governing body UEFA are currently weighing up to potential solutions to conclude the 2019/20 season according to a report from Italian news agency ANSA.

Football across the continent is on hold at the moment as a result of the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and there is complete uncertainty as to whether or not the season will even resume, let alone finish at some stage.

The first idea that UEFA are considering is to give priority to domestic competitions and then finish both of the Champions League and Europa League afterwards, which could mean the season runs on until as late as August.

If this is what happens, teams will have to extend the contracts of some of their players for a few more months and the Summer transfer window is also likely to be affected.

The other solution that they are thinking about is to just play everything all at once as what happens normally with all of the competitions.
