A decision on what to do with the remainder of this season has been put on hold until at least Easter time according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Sporting activity across Italy has been on hold for a number of weeks now due to the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic and although the government restrictions are due to expire in the coming days, it appears highly unlikely that there will be any sport played for the foreseeable future.

Most Serie A clubs still have 12 games to play whilst some, including Inter, have 13 to play meaning it will be far from easy to wrap things up quickly.

The report from the Milan based newspaper states that if by Easter there is an evident decline in the numbers relating to the virus and there are glimpses of a return to normal life, talks over the resumption and conclusion of the season could then begin.
