Inter owned striker Mauro Icardi has explained why he and his family have decided to return to Milan to quarantine amid the ongoing global Coronavirus pandemic.

The Argentine is currently out on loan at reigning French champions Paris Saint Germain but rather stay in the French capital, Icardi, his wife/agent Wanda Nara, and their children all returned to their residence in Milan, which overlooks San Siro.

“Why did we decide to spend the quarantine in Italy? Because it is allowed to return to the place of residence, obviously respecting the security measures imposed by the government and always being attentive to the safety of each of those in my family. We are quarantining as a family, we hope it will end soon,” he explained as part of a live question and answer session which was broadcast on his official Instagram profile.

Icardi then shared some brief thoughts on the city of Paris, where he has been since the Summer and where he could be past the end of this season if PSG take up their option to sign him on a permanent basis for €70 million.

“It is an incredible city, it is magical. The affection from the fans is really important to me.”

He was also asked which of the goals he has scored in his career is his favourite one to which he responded: “All goals are special.”
