Udinese goalkeeper Juan Musso has welcomed the reported interest in his services from Inter in an interview with Argentine newspaper Olé.

Inter are said to be on the look out for a new goalkeeper ahead of the Summer transfer window as they look for a goalkeeper capable of initially being Samir Handanovic’s back-up and then being able to take over from him for the long term.

Musso firstly shared his desire to play alongside Lautaro Martinez again, something he would be able to do if he moves to Inter.

“I would like to play again with Lautaro Martínez, as well as with other players that I have already had as teammates. He is one of the best strikers of the world. I know him well, he is a fighter.

“It is said that he might go to Barcelona. It will depend on many things but you have to take everything with a pinch of salt.”

He then spoke on what the interest from a team like Inter means to him.

“It is nice to hear these rumours. Knowing that such an important team such as Inter is interested in me gives me a lot of incentives to give more but now I am 100% focused on Udinese. It is thanks to them I got my first call-up to the Argentine national team.”

He then went on to insist that he is not ruling anything out and will not allow himself to become distracted by all of the speculation.

“Things are done when the transfer market is in progress, but it is normal that there are conversations between executives outside of it, with some asking others for information on prices.

“It happens very often and it may be the case that it has happened for me too. I will not rule anything out. I know I have had two good seasons. I am not an anxious person and these rumours will not distract me.”

The 25-year-old shot-stopper has been one of the best goalkeepers in Italy since his arrival at Udinese and this season he has kept nine clean sheets in 27 appearances across all competitions.
