Inter and AC Milan are both interested in Sporting youngster Luis Maximiano according to a report in today’s print edition of Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper has broken into the first team of the Portuguese giants this term and he has been virtually ever present in between the sticks for Sporting since around the end of November.

Maximiano is a Portuguese youth national team player at under 21 level and he has a contract with the Estádio José Alvalade club until the end of the 2022/23 season.

The report does not give any indication however as to how much either of the Milanese clubs may have to spend to acquire him.

Maximiano is just the latest in a long line of goalkeepers to have been linked with Inter who are on the look-out for a new back-up goalkeeper capable of eventually taking over from current number one Samir Handanovic.

Inter have also been linked with Udinese’s Juan Musso, Parma’s Luigi Sepe and Benfica’s Odysseas Vlachodimos.
