Lega Serie A are evaluating the possibility of playing some of the remainder of the season at neutral venues behind closed doors according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.
The Serie A season has been on hold for a number of weeks due to the global Coronavirus pandemic and the remaining home games of teams in the areas most affected by Coronavirus could be moved to neutral venues to allow the season to finish safely.
The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that Lega Serie A are all for the transfer market period being the same across Europe and it is possible that the transfer market could go on until as late as December.
It also goes on to add that Lega Serie A do not want Financial Fair Play to be stopped for a year and would simply rather see deadlines postponed and regulations relaxed a bit given the financial damage that the current situation has and will cause.
