Fiorentina’s American owner and President Rocco Commisso, discussed the future of the club’s stars in an interview with broadcaster EPSN, aired earlier today.

First, Commisso spoke about his dreams for the club.

“My dream is to make Fiorentina a place where everyone wants to go. Chiesa knows how much we love him, all the fans of Fiorentina. I already made the promise last year as soon as I arrived despite Juventus.”

The Italian-American billionaire then highlighted what his future goals are for the club and how they can achieve his dream.

“My intention is to keep Chiesa in Florence, I hope it’s his too. And I think with the new coach he has much more enthusiasm and the desire to show his affection. I want to keep him like all the young stars of our squad, from Dragowski to Vlahovic.”

Chiesa, who is contracted to the Viola until 2022, has long been the target of both Inter and Juventus, who appreciate his incredible talents and high skill ceiling.

The 22-year-old Italian has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2117 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.

The player was close to a move to hated rivals Juventus last summer, but the arrival and promises of Commisso made him change his mind.

Since Commisso’s take over, he has been working hard to improve the club’s facilities and push forward the new stadium project, which is currently bogged down in bureaucracy.
