The League Assembly meeting showed the gap between presidents of those that want to finish the season and those that consider it over, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how everyone agrees that a month is needed for players to train before being in an adequate condition to return to the pitch. Whilst some presidents think that the season should be fully suspended, others are pushing for it to be completed.

The current ideas of a date to restart are still based on the Coronavirus emergency, but the estimated period seems to between the end of May to the end of June.

There isn’t an agreement between the League and the AIC, the report continues, about the salary cuts. The clubs want salary cuts for four months, deemed excessive according to the AIC, who represent Italian footballers.

The AIC want salaries to be suspended for only one month and don’t seem willing to negotiate.
